Our Curriculum
Our curriculum follows the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This is a national curriculum for early childhood education and care services. Our curriculum is playbased and is influenced by many different approaches and theories.
We believe that our curriculum and approach to early childhood education has been influenced by Reggio Emilia philosophy, Steiner, Montessori, Piaget, Erikson, Bronfrenbrenner and positive psychology.
We believe that our curriculum shows our local community context and includes the voices of the children, family and educators who attend or work in the service. We teach children about the environment that they live in and how to care for that environment.
We believe that we have embedded and will continue to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture into our curriculum and we are proud of the connections we are building with our local indigenous families.
We believe that our curriculum teaches children important social and emotional skills needed for lifelong learning and development.
